Does the DB2 work outside of WMB? Can you create databases and so forth?
Are all the ODBC components installed correctly & working outside of WMB?
Are you able to create a broker using the WMB command line tools? If so, why not do that? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Also, check that your userid and password are correct for the DB2 services (Adminstrative Tools -> Services).
If necessary, drop any existing DEFBKDB6 database and remove references to this data source using either DB2 or Windows Control Panel (Administrative Tools -> Data Sources (ODBC)).
And finally, if you're playing with the samples to learn about broker, use V7 if you can, as there is no database required by this version at all. Use the V7.0.0.1 trial (http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/ws/wmb/index.html) if necessary. |
