Hi,

I have character string in the format - '00500'

I have the requirement to format this to '5.00'
i.e last two digits are decimal fields and I have to remove trailing zero's.

How can I do this?

Please help.

You can do it using the CAST function with a FORMAT clause.

There may be an even better solution, but without knowing the overall task it's hard to comment.

There's also been a recent thread on almost exactly this problem; formating the value 5.
