1. if there is a commercial avaliable implementation of MQSeries on the .NET plattform.
2. anything about IBM:s plans for native support for this plattform?

OK! I have read this tread.
Does anyone knows if there is a schedule for IBM:s support for MQ on .NET.
I have scanned IBM:s site but can't find anything. My interest in this is that if I can't find souce code for a project like Kolbans or a supported implementation our project have to do themselves, and as you all know "buy before you build" is a good advice in a project with problems to match the deadline. |

| The idea is that IBM will take the code base I developed, clean it up, formally test it and then ship it as part of the product. I have heard no dates on this yet. |

Development here at Hursley is now working on making this package available as WebSphere MQ product code.
Our aims are
1) to have a beta (Cat2 SupportPac) version by December 2002
2) to bring this to full supported level (Cat3 SupportPac) by April 2003
3) to roll into any future product release,
THESE ARE NOT FIRM AND PROMISED PLAN DATES.
We may make a Hursley released alpha version before those dates; this will vary only very little from the package available here.
If anyone has specific queries, requirements or suggestions, please email me at stephen_todd@uk.ibm.com.

Hello Stephen Todd! You might not remember me, but we have swapped email from time to time going back about 6 yrs,mostly on MQSeries and Java, MQSeries and COM+, etc.
Is there an update available on this planned schedule?
Did the cat2 supportPac get delivered in December?
If so, is there a link to that spac?
Is the April 2003 date still on track?
etc etc

After several questions, an update on the status of this.
We have an alpha release with a small number of customers; this appears to be going well.
We have some accessibility testing we are required to do before we can release this as a SupportPac. Expect the Cat2 SupportPac next week (by 21 Feb). I will post an update here when it is available.
We now expect to bring this to Cat3 (supported) status by June 2003.
It will be rolled in to the next version of WebSphere MQ.

Hi Folks,
I'm new to MQSeries and my first usage of it is with a managed .NET project. Just came across Kolbans fantastic work - I love it when folks take it upon themselves to build something as useful as this 
I don't like the idea of Managed to Unmanaged calls - the whole thing begins to remind me of Win16/32 Thunk back in the days of when Win95/NT was picking up pace - yikes !!!
Well - at the moment I'm currently working on Helping a client evaluate the usage of .NET in their predominantly Java environment. Server products include Websphere App Server and MQSeries.
I'm currently showing them how they can place light WebService wrappers around some of their Java business layer to expose into a very distributed .NET architecture.
Next I wanted to show direct MQSeries links from the .NET architecture so that java-based MQ client services/applications can be migrated with time.
I look forward to IBM realising the alpha version of this project later in the month.

Stephen Todd has placed the support pac for .net on the Support Pac web
page. The support pac is MA7P and can be found under category 2- freeware.

Those of you interested in SOAP as well as WebSphere MQ and .NET may be interested in our yesterday's SupportPac.

This permits SOAP messages to be transported over WMQ between .NET and Java/Axis (any combination of client/service). Minimum change to the SOAP infrastructure and client/service applications; we reuse what Axis and .NET provide (proxies, formatting, WSDL generation, etc), and just plug the transport based on a "wmq:SOAP.queue.to.myService" uri.
As with the .NET classes, we hope to promote this from Cat2 now to Cat 3 around mid-year
