We have Two Queue Managers QM1 and QM2 on MQ 7.0.1 aix full repos on clustername MQCLUS

They are connected to another QueueManager MQ3 on V6.2.3 on aix on V6.2.3 on aix partial repos connected to cluster MQCLUS and connected to another QueueManager MQ4 on V6.2.3 on windows 2003 partial repos connected to cluster MQCLUS

Now since there is a new server for QueueManager MQ3 on aix. Though the installation and QueueManager creation is completed on the new box .
after suspending the original QM3 from MQ clus
and adding the new QM3 on the new server to the MQclus
display clusqmgr(*)

CLUSQMGR(SYSTEM.TEMPQMGR)

Is it possible to add the same Queue Manager name again to the same cluster from a different IP. As I remember there is a setting QMID

I tried reset cluster it did not fix the issue

any ideas are welcome

Yes there is. But it's only possible if you take the time and trouble to correctly remove the old one from the cluster first, rather than just suspending it. Why you thought that was going to work eludes me. The Cluster manual is fairly clear on this.

No, if you just type "reset cluster" it won't help at all. If you try reading the manual, there's a step by step guide to removing cluster queue managers which are in the situation you've left yours in.
