Is it possible that a single remote queue can be referred by a two local queues in two different QM's.

If you mean "...can the same one QREMOTE simultaneously reference a QLOCAL instance existing in two different remote queue managers?" then the answer is no. However, the 'native' pub/sub mechanism within WMQ V7.0 will allow the distribution I think you want to achieve.

And just to be absolutely clear, a QREMOTE 'references' a QLOCAL, not the other way around.

If, however, you mean "can one remote application reference two local queues in two different queue managers", then the answer (for puts at least) is yes via clustering.

But it does really depend on what you mean. You need to rephrase your question, being much more precise on what you mean. Or ideally what you're trying to achieve.

Of course, a QCLUSTER can point to many many QLOCALS on non-local qmgrs.

A remote queue references any type of queue, alias, local or remote.
