Hi All!
I need to dynamically generate GUID (smth like this 3F2504E0-4F89-11D3-9A0C-0305E82C3301) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globally_unique_identifier) inside compute node. I want to use only ESQL for this. But I could not find any information how I can create such GUID. Is it possible at all to generate it with ESQL, or I must use java compute node and create GUID there, using java functions?
Thank you in advance! |

How do the 2 ESQL UUID functions not meet your need? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

They have been there an awfully llllooooooonnnnnnnggggg time.
To be fair, you may well have not needed them in the past. There are a lot of little gems like this in a product of this (and increasing) size & functionality. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |
