Hi - I see DB2 Version 8.1 support for MQV7.0.1 in the concepts & planning guide for mainframe mq 7; I do see the same in IBM Mainframe MQ7.0.1 system requirements link same but there is no document or link which talks about db2v9 support for mainframe mq v7.0.1;

If you have any link or doc name please provide me.

Thanks!!
Raghu

I'm sure there is a number of people here who would like to know how WMQ uses DB2 (of any version) directly?
Surely you mean WMB/Message Broker?
There is a world of difference despite the fact the Broker Uses WMQ and can use DB2 if required.

On z/OS the queue managers use DB2 to maintain information on queue sharing groups, if QSG are in use of course.

Yes - Mainframe mq uses db2 to store QSG (QueueSharing group) info & we used shared queues in our environments so it also uses db2 to store shared object definitions.

Yep. I was ignoring that use as this is the Broker Forum and perhaps mistakenly I was assuming that the OP wanted to use DB2 with Broker.
