The queue managers are running fine with all the related processes running. The queue manager log is not getting updated since a week now. Anyone knows what might be the cause? Any idea how to overcome this?
It is a severe production queue manager and I do not want to miss anything because of this.

Which log? Errors or transaction?

Which log? Errors or transaction?

What version of WMQ? On what platform?

How are you determining it's not being updated? Timestamps or content?

If you mean mqm/errors, which are the general WMQ error logs that record non-queue manager specific problems, if they're not updating, congratulations, your WMQ installation is running sweetly.

If on the other hand you do mean queue manager error logs, what changed on the system? And I don't just mean WMQ-related. Although production-level, can you do anything to try and force something into the log, e.g. a channel stop/start?

Its entirely possible a functional QM's error log may have nothing in it for hours, days, even weeks.

Not likely, but certainly possible.

Nothing has changed on the system recently. We did a stop and start of one less used channel. But nothing shows up.
Any parameter which is preventing the logs to be updated? Where do I check?

Thanks Peter. Concern is if anything abnormal is happening how do I find out. The logs are silent and other infrastructure checks are showing normal results.
