We are planning to upgrade to 3.3.2 amd currently use 1.2.2 jdk.
I looked on the ibm site and could not find there recommeded jdks
for each release. Does anyone know if we need to upgrade 1.2.2? I dont really want too but if it is going to cause massive problems than I will.
Also same question this time with upgrading MQ to 5.3.

Thanks in advance

Do you know that 3.4 will be available in a week or two. Just thought I'd let you know, since there are supposed to be some real performance kicks in 3.4 especially if you upgrade to DB2 8.1. Also 3.4 supports MQ 5.3.

3.4 also boasts of the LDAP bridge. FDL can be generated from LDAP using the bridge. But I don't think the bridge is compliant with all the LDAP servers. As per the installation guide "IBM Directory Server" is required. My personal opinion is bridge could be helpful where the no of workflow users is big.

Vennala:

The LDAP bridge is currently available for 332 and I have played with it, and was disappointed that it really doesn't do all that much.

Is that right. I didn't know that. We have been looking for something like bridge that would do the following:
1. If a new user is added in the LDAP directory it would automatically import (atleast generate FDL) the user into runtime
2. If a user is added into runtime it would insert the user in the LDAP directory

I was about to write an application but a generic application for roles authorizations etc made me hesitate to write one. We are still trying to figure out how we can do this.
