Hi
I want to pulish a topic on a a queuemgr via activating the queuemgr pub/sub engine.
I work with wmb 6.0 and MQ 7.0 I have disabled the broker pub/sub engine.
I have tried to find information and I have read that the 2 queues:
SYSTEM.BROKER.DEFAULT.STREAM
SYSTEM.BROKER.CONTROL.QUEUE
are involved. I have tried a lot of differenent scenarios but can not get it to work.
Can someone tell me where I can find a good guide to a solution?

Is this the "can not get it to work" you describe here? If not, what? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

When I from message flow (wmb 6.0) put a message (incl. RFH2H) to SYSTEM.BROKER.DEFAULT.STREAM on my queuemgr (MQ 7.0) subscribers whit matching topic string does not get the message. |

Do they get the message if you put it there from RFHUtil?
If yes, what is different from the message the broker submits?
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

No Its the same when I put the message from rfhutil.
I got one of my colleges to make the same exercise, he has the same tools that I work with and he had the same negative result. |

I really think you need to go back and review the documentation on what support for MQ v7 PubSub is available in Broker v6.0.
I think you will find a distinction between words like "tolerate" and "participate".
If you are bringing applications on board that need to use MQ v7 publish/subscribe, that should be in and of itself sufficient justification to upgrade your message broker to version 7, at least for the flows that have to support those applications that use MQ v7 pub/sub.
I also do not think you are doing enough proper troubleshooting to understand the difference between the messages produced by Broker and the messages produced by the qmgr test publication application. |
