The message flow is sending an email using SendEmail node.
We are using WMB version 7 and we don't have AgentController installed.
Is there any way by which we can log the status of the mail send in a file.
We need to log both the success and failure scenario.
Can this be done without using trace and Fileoutput nodes??

So you want to output to a file without using the FileOutput node? Interesting requirement.

I imagine you could use a JCN to achieve that.

I would hope you didn't have AgentController installed, even if you were using Broker v6.1. But I don't see what relevance it has to the question, really.

ESQL has a lovely LOG statement, perhaps it meets your needs.

But you have been fairly vague on which file or what kind of file you want to log things to, so there's not really a solid answer here.

There's also the supportPac that provides a log4J node. That's neither a trace node nor a FileOutput node.
