Hi all,
I have a requirement to send a file via FTP and update the Database with Success info.

I want to develop a single message flow with a Flow order node. First terminal is wired to FileOutput Node and Second terminal is wired to Compute node which will update the Database.

Scenario : What will happen if the FTP is successful & Data base is Down?
If the message is reprocessed after failure(if it is a Database Issue) the same file is send again to Remote Directory until the Database comes up & running.

What would be the better idea to avoid resending the same file ?
Note: I dont want to split the Message Flow. It is a single process

All file operations are non-transactional.

All FTP operations are non-transactional.

If you wish to have a transactional exchange of data, then you need to use a transactional data exchange protocol. Like WebSphere MQ.
