By the way Peter...Do you know how to view the Client connection definition table file (AMQCLCHL.TAB)?? |

Use MQExplorer, or MO71 or MO72 (mqsc) if you don't have a server and MQExplorer or runmqsc if you do....
The rest should be described in the manuals. |
Peter, I have perused the manuals and the MO71 GUI looking for a way to view the CCDT (Client Channel Definition Table - AMQCLCHL.TAB) but I have not found a way to view it via MO71. Do you know this secret? |

I think he means view a remote queue manager via client attachment using MO71 and see the client connection definitions.
MO71 does almost everything but I don't think it directly reads the CCDT (it would be a good feature to have). |

I know, and Paul Clarke wrote both. But MO72 is not graphical and I would prefer a MO71 style graphical interface to edit the CCDT. |

Can MQ explorer directly read a CCDT file?
Can it do what MO72 does (albeit in a command line format)?
I do not want to maintain my CCDT on a queue manager, it is a nuisance and causes version issues. |

As far as I know, MO72 is the only thing that can manipulate a CCDT without talking to a queue manager.
It's possible that MO71 also does, but if it's not in the documentation then only Paul knows how.
It doesn't look like the new mqclient.ini provides any assistance in this area, either, as all it does is provide an alternate mechanism for pointing to the CCDT. |
