In the Info Centers, how do you limit your search to only a single manual? Or a subset that you can choose?

That little Search Scope: link next to the search box is useless. It appears to allow you to select one or more specific manuals, but the "OK" button never lights up for you to finish your selection.

It might be a bit more work than you're thinking.

If I click the search scope button, I get the box that says "select search scope".

You then have to click the radio button at the top that says "Search only the following topics".

Then you have to click the "new" button at the bottom, to create a new, personal, search scope. In the "new" dialog, you have to both highlight the manuals you want to search in, and then enter a name for the search scope in the top box (the one labelled "List names" - a better name probably could be envisioned... )

This then *creates* a search scope. Then hit the Okay button in the "new" search scope to return to the select search scope.

Then you should be able to select the search scope you just created and the "Okay" button should be enabled.

If that doesn't work, try a different browser...

Thanks Jeff.

This is news to me, too.

But mqjeff, you didn't mention the best part.. Your search scope is saved for reuse! This is cool.
