Hi,I am a newbee and trying to install MQ and MB trial version on windows XP machine. I have successfully installed MQ v7.0,MB toolkit v7.0 and MB Explorer but unable to install MB runtime.
Everytime I try to to run MB v7.0 Runtime from launchpad it start with In progress with thereafter it goes in Pending stage in launchpad. |

Did you click the button to launch the runtime installer?
Did the runtime installer launch?
Did you download a package that includes the runtime installer, rather than just the toolkit/mb explorer installers? |

Yes, I clicked the button to launch the runtime installer.
Yes,Runtime Installer started i went through initial installer screens by going next and accepting the license and selecting typical install but it immediately goes to pending again.
Yes,I did download MB runtime zip file

are you running this through Citrix? Are you running this directly? what's the screen resolution of the display? |

No this installation is done on physical machine ,no citrix ,no vmware involved.
Screen resolution is 1280 x 1024 pixel |

... it sounds like you're maybe missing some pieces for the install or have a bad package?
You might try redownloading the runtime pieces. Or open a PMR. |

if it worked on W2K3... then what are you *trying* to install it on? Is that listed as a supported platform?

Finally able to figure out the problem ... This Windows XP Physical machine had its Visual Effects settings set to "Adjust for best performance" and because of that Java Swing classes were failing.
As soon I changed it to use "Let Windows choose what's best for computer" whole installation worked like a charm.
