This reply from the dis chs(*) command means that the channel is in INACTIVE status. You should not reset in any way. Just issue the start channel command.
It could well be because your release was somewhat buggy that channel triggering doesn't quite work as expected. This should have been fixed in any of the subsequent fixpacks. You DO NEED to upgrade.

Please suggest the fix pack version to be installed, so that there should not be amy impact to the existing one.

Apply Fix Pack 6.0.2.9 and if any problem persists open a PMR.
