Hi,
I am trying to work with multi instance QM which is installed on Windows. i have 3 Windows 2003 serves in which 2 servers act as MQServers and the third one would be File server. I have shared the folder and able to access it in a normal way by going to run and able to see the contents of the shared files in the file server.
But while creating a QueueManager and if i give Share file system path specified, i am getting the below error:
AMQ6239: Permission denied attempting to access filesystem location \\hydhtc65658\mqdata'
AMQ7077: You are not authorized to perform the requested operation.
For the shared drive i have given permissions and Full Control also. still it is throwing the same error. I have rebooted my system also.
I am using MQExplorer while creating the QM.
Please let me know if any one faced the same problem and resolved it.
Thanks in advance.

Are you trying to put the queue manager data files on this shared server? If so, why? Some kind of poor man's failover? Why not use MCSC? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Because it's necessary for "multi-instance qmgr" in v7, I'm sure.
I suspect that although the share is available to the user running crtmqm, it is not available to the MQ service user. |
