Hello,
I am looking at a configuration that runs with MQ V7 on zOS 1.10. One of the queues is defined with INDXTYPE(GROUPID). The manual says that you can only specify a shared queue with INDXTYPE(GROUPID) if the queue uses a CF structure at CFLEVEL(3). This queue is using a CF structure at CFLEVEL(4). I don't see any errors generated in the joblog. The manual is a V7 manual. What, if any, are the consequences of this definition? |

I suspect that the doc should have read something like "CFLEVEL 3 or greater..."
You are at CFLEVEL 4? Are you running old iron? Current CFLEVEL is 15 or 16 ... _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

The hardware level for the CF is level 15. I am talking about the CFSTRUCT level definition for MQ.
CSQ9022I !QP11 CSQMDRTC ' DISPLAY CFSTRUCT' NORMAL COMPLETION
CSQM293I !QP11 CSQMDRTC 2 CFSTRUCT FOUND MATCHING REQUEST CRITERIA
CSQM201I !QP11 CSQMDRTC DISPLAY CFSTRUCT DETAILS 423
CFSTRUCT(STRUCT1)
DESCR(System CF structure)
CFLEVEL(4)
RECOVER(YES)
ALTDATE(2010-06-12)
ALTTIME(14.54.49)
I guess I will open a PMR for documentation to find out.
Thanks,
Martha |

All references to CFLEVEL should be 'or greater'.
If you have a QSG with queue managers at different levels of MQ it controls the use of new function until you have completed migration of all the queue managers to the higher level. _________________ Bob Buxton
