Hi,

we are planning to upgrade from current MQMBv6 to MQMBv7,
we are discussing about compatibility with our current one of the application(Log4j) with MQv7.
Is the Log4j compatible with MQv7 HA Multiinstance QM?

Thanks in advance.

My question is why do we need a Log4j for MQ.

its mainly required for the business applications, that what i understand

MQ is properly managed and the the log files are pretty well placed in two directories for more understanding and to tackle the issues

If you're running Log4j in a WMB flow (and if you're running it the queue manager please tell me how!) what effect would the version of queue manager have? Aside from the obvious if you change queue manager instance (i.e. no effect -> some effect based on setup)?

If you are running a flow in a multi-instance broker, and that flow has any dependency on external resources (like the file system, or a database, or a network address), then you need to take the necessary precautions to ensure that this dependency is met on every instance of the broker.

The only dependencies that don't count as "external" are queues on the broker's queue manager.
