I have got Websphere MQ V6.0 on the z/OS without IBM WebSphere MQ for z/OS Client Attachment feature. I know how to connect WAS and MQ using server-connection channel on the queue manager. I successfully connected Linux queue manager which has got MQ Client installed and WAS on the an other machine using server-connection channel on the Linux queue manager. Is it possible to connect z/OS WAS and z/OS queue manager on the same LPAR without using WebSphere MQ for z/OS Client Attachment feature because it's not installed? In the other words I would like to connect z/OS WAS with z/OS queue manager on the same LPAR directly in the same way as the CICS it's directly connected to the z/OS queue manager. Thanks for help!

IMHO you can use Client or Binding mode. Binding is what you are looking for. Check the Docs.

I remember attending a presentation at Impact last month where they mentioned WAS 7.0 had a new mode whereby it would try BINDNGS first, and then if that failed, go to CLIENT mode.

Don't know if that helps.
