Hi I came across this statement regarding admin log
"Administration log information is deleted automatically from the broker after 72 hours. You can save the log contents to file if you want to retain them"
My question is
1. can we increase the Time period that a broker keep its admin log? and how?
2. Can the admin log only be accessed through the MBX. or can it be accessed from the file system(like other log files) in the unix environment where MBX cant be installed ? if yes what is the location of the admin log in the unix envirnment? |

this is something new to me .....
there could be some parameters to do so.....else raise a PMR get a fix as simple as that.
let see what experts say about this... _________________ Regards

That 72 hour statement refers to previous versions of WMB (the docs are wrong and will be fixed shortly).
In WMB V7 the contents of the administration log stays around until the broker is restarted.
You can access the log from the CMP as well as MBX. For example, if you want to persist the log, use the MBX to save it, or subscribe to log changes and persist using a CMP application. |

If you choose to save it, yes... otherwise the log is only visible using the CMP and MBX. |
