We're planning on deploying Message Broker 7 in an active/active configuration.
We plan to have one server in our main data center and the other server about 50 miles away in our alternate data center. We have a sonet ring between our locations.
We want to load balance across the two servers and have automatic failover/recovery.
I found a lot of articles about version 6 clustering and HA. Don't know if they apply the same way. Does anyone know of any good version 7 articles/blogs about this?

If you one active broker in each data center, you can't get recovery and failover. You can only achieve load balancing. You still need to figure out how you are going to spray messages (depending on the transport they use) to each of the data centers.
If you intend to use Multi-Instance Brokers, then you will need two active brokers in each data center (one active and one standby). |

I forgot to mention:
If you want DR, then I' think you will need some form of data replication/mirroring technology to replicate the mq and broker logs to DR. If you want to automate this, I know that PowerHA XD on AiX will do this for you (i.e., switch IP addresses across locations etc). |
