Dears,
we plan to migrate MQSeries servers customers from v5.3 to v6.
- is there any roll-back procedure in case of problem ?
- there is no impact on any MQSeries clients or servers connecting to an updated servers, correct ?
Note : a backup / restore of previous v5.3 will of course loose any additional messages received under v6.
Thanks for attention.
Bye,
Bruno |

- Yes, there should be no impact.

- You cannot go back if the qmgr is converted to v6, all changes made in v6 are lost.
Install the FixPack before starting v6 _________________ Gunter Jeschawitz

there is another way to avoid the risk - build a new machine, export the MQ structure from the old one and restore it to the new one and then replace the IP... maybe more expansive but easy "upgrade", easy roll-back.
