HI,
- i have to set up a lot of client machine and i would like tu use the client channel connection table when the client appli call MQCONN but with the QMNAME = "*ANYTHING" to be able tu use group of qmgrs within the table
(which will have several entries with qmgrname = ANYTHING)
- i want to leave this table on the server to avoid client people to modify it if this table is copied on the client box
question: using the environment variables MQCHLTAB & MQCHLLIB on the client box how to adress the server qmgr if none connection name at the client level is specified in this case?
funny idea, isn't ?
thanks for any suggestions
Jack
Actually you describe same scenario, like WorkFlow Client works.
MQCHLTAB contains all required information: computer name, port, channel name. You can find more information in WF admin guide and Intercommunication.
Do you want create pool of all possible connections based on MQCHLTAB and use it dynamically?
I think you mast use "ANY*" or "*" and not "*ANY" in your client. _________________ Best regards.
