Hello,
I'm happy to tell you that the open-source project Spring Python [1] has added support for JMS messaging with WebSphere MQ in its latest 1.1 release. It is now possible for Python applications to seamlessly integrate with existing Java JMS applications and to participate in message exchanging, or even to use JMS and WebSphere MQ from Python with no Java code around [2].
Its API has been built with a programmer's productivity in mind and instead of focusing on low-level details, it offers developers high-level features such as the JmsTemplate object, an easy access to SSL/TLS certificates, message converters and background MQ listeners.
The support is built on top of PyMQI [3] which is in turn a thin wrapper around the native MQI API and provides Python programmers with a highly efficient way to access WebSphere MQ.
