Ah - so by "Quick Beginning pdf" you meant the Advanced Tasks part of the Clusters manual.
That link also contains the following disclaimer:

And the same is mentioned in the link that I provided.
But you don't call IBM & raise a PMR just to do a normal removal of a queue manager from a cluster, which is what the OP was talking about. There are indeed circumstances where you'd want (or need) to issue this command. But like the manual says, it is not normally necessary. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
