If I want to client connect from a Linux machine to a QMGR on iSeries what will I have to do.
Is it sufficient to install MQ Server on Iseries and MQ Client on Linux machine or do I have to install anything else?
I mean like CAF for OS/390 (I don't know what it is but I have read in some of the posts that they need this if clients have to talk to OS/390 servers).
Here is what I think I should do. Let me know if I am going the right path.
Install MQ server on iSeries
Create a QMGR on iSeries (One QMGR to start with)
Install MQ client on Linux.
I don't know if I am missing anything.
How do I create the client channel definition table?
I don't have any sepcific experience with this on iSeries or Linux, but I am fairly sure that the normal MQ server install on iSeries should be able to accept client connections.
