Hello,
We have a Windows 2000 Server running MQ 5.3 CSD07 (due to WICS). Our other servers are p-series AIX running MQ v7.0.1. We moved to these over the weekend. SInce then the Listener and Channel Initiator on the Windows server keeps going down at random. There is nothing in the logs to say why and no FDC's are created. Is there a compatability problem sending messages from MQv7 to MQv5.3? When we try to strat them it says there is already an instance running. We have to kill these before restarting. Any suggestions as to why this is happening. Thank you. |

No, it's a bug in MQ v5.3 CSD07. |

Yes it is - some bugs aren't fixed until the next version release, and we can't go to v6 or 7 on this particular machine, therefore, the question may be made as to which CSD level this bug was fixed in on v5.3. |

Well, at a minimum you should try it.
You can certainly back it off if it does not work better (which it will).
Also, be sure to change the following stanzas:
Log:
LogBufferPages=4096
CHANNELS:
AdoptNewMCACheck=ALL
AdoptNewMCA=ALL
TCP:
KeepAlive = Yes |
