Hi I need this support pack (ia99.zip supportpac)for Toolkit and runtime version 7. I tried to install this support pack version 6.1 and it fails with dependancy. Is there any other support pack that I can use for this functionality. I also need to encode/decode data, I cannot find anything that does that for me..

please help

I got the same thing when I tried to install the Toolkit parts when V7 came out. I emailed the maintainer but never got a reply.
I guess it is dead and some other way will have to be found to provide the same functionality.

You should be able to do either of these with a JavaCompute node or a PHPCompute node.

You can use a WTX map. It has built-in adapters for gzip and has functions for encoding, decoding.

AFAIK, this is only true if you are licensed to and installed WTX. If you are not using this then another method has to be found.

I am one of the victim of it. The PMR is open from last 2 months (related to ma0i). Never rely on the support pac support, forget about them.
Use Java Compute Node and make it reusable, that is the only solution.

I think that's a little unfair. IA99 & MA01 are Cat 2 support pac, and as it says here

Quote:
Category 2 SupportPacs are provided in good faith and AS-IS. There is no warranty or further service implied or committed and any supplied sample code is not supported via IBM product service channels.

You may submit a question or offer feedback on the SupportPac but please be aware that a response is NOT guaranteed.

This differs sharply from other categories, such as Cat 3:

Quote:
Category 3 WebSphere MQ (MQSeries) SupportPacs are supplied under the standard terms and conditions provided by the International Program License Agreement (IPLA) and thus, carry program defect service.

If you encounter what you believe to be a defect with the SupportPac you may request Program Services, by reporting the problem via the same defect reporting channel you use for the WebSphere MQ or WebSphere Business Integration product/s with which you are using the SupportPac. These products must themselves have service support.

So it's not true you don't get support on support pacs; just not all of them.

(Cat 4 pacs aren't even produced by IBM!)

Mmmm feels good to know that I wasn't doing it incorrectly.

I hope the Owner of the support pack is busy working on it for V7 . I alway prefer to use support pac ad not go and write a java compute node. As I think support pac are saver tested and more reliable. That is just my openion,

So I will go java compute node as last resort ,

Thanks all for responding.
