Hi there:
You guys adviced me before to read about 2-phase commite to control the unit of work in Message flows.
I need to have a transaction control on Message flow that call Stored procedure which do some effects in Database
the way , when the message flow Fail all these effects rolled back
when i read the Manual it says "You must configure external databases and MQSeries appropriately to enable this support. All actions in the message flow therefore either complete successfully, or are rolled back to the point where the original input message is restored on the input queue. This feature is controlled using the Coordinated Transaction property of the message flow: the default is for the transaction not to be globally coordinated. (Right-click on the message flow and select Properties.)"
when i right click on my message flow i can't find any Coordinated Transaction property !!!!
1- where can i configure this Coordinated Transaction property , is it in MQseries or in MQSI ?!
2- if any of you guys have a link or reference for configure MQSeries for Global transaction Coordinate, it will be gr8 to have it
thank you |

The Coordinated Transaction is configured in MQSeries. Take a look to the redbook "Developing Solutions in WebSphere MQ Integrator" where you could find the steps to configure the Coordinated Transaction and some examples of how to use it.

Also, take a look at Chapter 12 in MQSeries System Administrator Guide.

After you configure your queue manager for 2-phase commit, please follow these steps to run your message flow in Coordinated Transaction mode.
under Assignment Tab,
1. Check out your Execution Group.
2. Assign your message flow to Execution Group.
3. Right click on your message flow and then select properties.
4. Select Coordinated Transaction and then click on OK button.
5. Check-in your Execution Group.
6. Deploy your Execution Group. _________________ Kiran
