I am in the process of implementing MQ client on .net. In order to call MQ over the SSL authentication and that is on the Unix from windows.

Is it like if i copy bare min DLL's on the client system (amqumdmsg, amqumdnet, amqumdm etc..) and start calling the MQ. Will it work? Please let me know if i need to install MQ client to call QM.

We have implement this to number of clients so i would like to know which is the least effect for the client in terms of installation.

You need to think longer term. What will be the impact when you need to apply maintenance? What will be the impact when you try to upgrade & find the ddls have changed name? What will be the impact when you call IBM for support?

Balance that against how hard it isn't to install the client.

I echo Vitor's point. Copying of dlls is not recomended and I am sure IBM will not provide support for such "installations".

More over you are talking of using SSL in .NET. In MQ .NET, SSL is supported only via Unmanaged mode and Unmanaged mode requires MQ C client.
