Hi Experts,
I installed MS03 into my windows system and and executed saveqmgr.exe file and trying to save my queue manager object definitions and i used the command saveqmgr -m <Test> -f <C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Newfolder\Test.mqs>
is The syntax of the command is correct. ...what should i do......if the syntax is incorrect plz specify the path

What is the error message?

Did you type the "<" and ">" exactly as per the above description?

The error message is:

The syntax of the command is incorrect.
and S i Mentioned <> similarly as above....infact i have copied same here.......and the queue manager in on position only.........................

Almost certainly this is because you have included < and > in the command line options. These are typically used as special characters by cmd.exe and Unix shells, and probably this is why the error condition occurs.

in documentation is generally meant to be replaced by the actual name (without <>).

And confirms my suspicions that this post was about taking an external backup of the queue manager using rcdmqimg.

Nice to see the OP's managed to look at the manuals, even if the syntax diagrams are still proving a little out of reach.

I think the OP's found the answer to the question that should have originally been asked with this, i.e. how do I back up a queue manager?

Much as I originally suspected.
