Hi All,

I am trying to start my queue manager on windows V6. I get an error 893 in Explorer and FDC files are being generated. Please find the FDC below:

Firstly, you are way behind the drag curve on maintenance - V6.0 is now at 6.0.2.8 - so it's in your best interests to address that issue asap.

Secondly, punching the Probe Id into Mr. Google would have got you THIS.

I tried to install the fix pack its throwing a error. Moreover its a fresh copy of MQ in that system. Sorry for not mentioning this before.

I think that's a clue...

If this is a fresh copy of WMQ do any queue managers work on it? Or is this the first one you've tried post-WMQv6 install?

It's in the manual. Try punching strmqm into the Info Centre, and as you're on Windoze look at amqmdain also.

It's not model queues that need attention, it is the installation of MQ.

There are two reasons to think the installation is bad
- you can't create/start the first qmgr on the box
- you can't install a fix pack

If reinstalling doesn't fix this (and yes it is important to get the latest fix pack and stay away from 5-year-old code) then call IBM for support.
