Hello All,

I am trying to find the reason code in a dead letter message without using MQ Explorer or any java programs. Is there a way like - command to see the reason code or using amqsbcg how to see get the reason code?

Any utility that can browse a message in a queue will do. amqsbcg will do so.

amqsbcg displays the DLH so you can read the code. Most of the administrative support pacs can also decode the header.

Take a look at the WMQ Application Programming Reference for the mqdlh, the dead-letter header. The header layout will show you the location of the RC in the header.
