Hi
We are running WMB6103 broker and configuration manager on a solaris 10 server. We have a problem where our broker is running normally, this we can see by the dataflowengines running, mqsilist command etc reporting that all is ok, and messages are being transformed correctly. But the configmgr is reporting to the toolkit that all the flows are stopped.
We have tried restarting the broker and the configmgr and our toolkits but the same outcome always returns the toolkits shows the flows not running, but the actually are. If we redeploy a bar file, the toolkit reports the flow running as expected.
We have hundreds of flows and the redeployment of all would be a last resort. I have heard that you can make a configmgr adopt a broker, which i will look into.
Is there another way of getting our current configmgr back in sync with our broker?
Thanks for your help |

Synchronization is only useful in specific circumstances, not necessarily here. Usually, updates to the start/stopped status of flows will be fed back immediately to the ConfigMgr through a pub/sub notification.
The ConfigMgr registers for these notifications automatically, but it may be that there was a problem doing this (you might have seen an 'unable to register for internal subscriptions' message). You can use the CMP API Exerciser to attempt to reregister for these subscriptions, and you should then find that the start/stop updates magically start appearing.
Removing the broker from the CM, and readopting it might also help (and you can do this also using the CMP API Exerciser), but only as a last resort.
Of course, moving to v7 will solve all these issues in one fell swoop |

There are many problems with the configuration manager in the 6.1 version, may be that is the reason why we do not have configmgr in V7.
You can try one thing which usually works for me,
from the toolkit:
1. connect to the domain
2. right click on the "Broker Topology"
3. Select "Deploy Topology Configuration" select the option "complete deploy"
This should help solve solve your problem. |

Recycle of the configuration manager also helps me solve the problems with the config manager sometimes. May be you can try doing that. |
