I had created a Client-Server connection in WMQ V6.0(linux) and worked with MQSERVER command. But I am wishing to work on task related to working with Tablfiles and setting environment variables.
Procedure I had followed:
1)copied the tabfile from the server queuemanager and copied it to a folder created by me(/var/mqm/tabfiles) on Client system.
2) export MQCHLLIB=/var/mqm/tabfiles
3)export MQCHLTAB=AMQCLCHL.TAB
next when I am trying to put a message on Queue present in Server Queue Manager.I am getting 2058 error.
Could you please help me in illustrating the procedure for it.
Appreciate your help in advance.
Cheers,

You could always read the Clients manual, or THIS part of it anyway...and have a look HERE for further useful information. Make sure you copy the file in binary mode too _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys.

I am getting 2058 error |
For clarity and precision, WMQ presents ReasonCodes to applications, not errors.
Your first task is to go to Google (or the WMQ Messages manual) looking for MQ Reason Code 2058. On google, mqrc 2058 will get you what 2058 means. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

2058 usually indicates the qmgr name you specified on the mqconn call in the app code cannot be found in the tab file.
Make sure that mqm and the app userid has read access to the file.
Were there any diagnostics at the end of /var/mqm/errors/AMQERR01.LOG ? _________________ Glenn |
