Hi All,
This is a right forum that I was looking for to hone up my skills in MQ Series and also prepare for 095 exam. I have a question regarding preparation for the above mentioned exame.
1. How helpful is practising MQ Series on multi platforms like Windows NT/2000, Linux, Solaris, OS/390 etc.?
2. Hands on experience on what platforms' really helps in certification?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Regards,
Savith |

You definitely want hands on experience with the UNIX platform. I used AIX and Linux, and was able to pass 095 knowing only these. However, there were some MVS and OS/390 questions, and at the time I had no hands on experience with these platforms, only what I read in the manuals. For that reason I missed some of the questions pertaining to these platforms but still passed the test. _________________ Brandon Duncan

For me, Windows NT/2000 and AIX stood me in good stead for the exam - I also had some OS/390 experience but, guess what, noticed a high number of OS/400 questions!
My advice would be to check through the manuals for Notes about platform support, or not, as the case may be.
These are prime candidates for exam questions.
Good luck! _________________ txman |
