Hi Friends,
I have installed the MQ Version 5.2 and following are the configurations which i am not so familiar but try to understand more...
1. In the task bar I see an icon which indicates IBM MQSeries and indicates Stop IBM MQSeries( Which indicates MQSeries is running.
2. I launch the MQ Series Explorer and started one of the default que QM_james, it displays the following in the view.
Name : QM_james
Local/Remote:Local
Queue Manager Status: Running
Connection Status : Not connected
Here is my question...
When i try to connect to that queue by right clicking-->Connect it pop's a message "UnKnown object name. (AMQ4049)
I tried setting the Default Configuration too...but it looks hanged and try to execute for a long time in the same status...
Hope somebody can help me in resolving me to get connect to the queue.
Thanks and Regards,
JG |

The version you are using is some 6 years out of service, and you give no clue as to which of the flavours of Windows you are running on. The best way we can help you resolve your issue is to offer the following advice: use a currently supported version! _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

You might also want to read the IBM Redbook WebSphere MQ V6 Fundamentals http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/abstracts/sg247128.html?Open
While it is at v6, it is a wonderful source of basic knowledge about WebSphere MQ. For example: an application connects to a queue-manager, not a queue. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
