Hi, I am having trouble connecting to Oracle 10g from WMB 6.0 on Solaris.

I have had the client installed, all the connectivity to the database concerned tests fine manually from the broker server. I have setup ORACLE_HOME, added the odbc.ini entry and run the mqsi_setupdatabase command as suggested in the help.

When ever I try to access the datasource from broker I get the follwoing error

IM003 Specified Driver could not be loaded

Thats all I seem to get, no hint as to why or what the problem is.

my odbc.ini entry looks as follows
Driver=/opt/IBM/mqsi/6.0/merant/lib/UKor820.so
Description=DataDirect 5.0 Oracle
WorkArounds=536870912
WorkArounds2=2
ServerName=RISKD
LogonID= db2admin
Password= admindb2
EnableDescribeParam=1
OptimizePrepare=1
ProcedureRetResults=1
ColumnSizeAsCharacter=1

Any assistance or pointers would be much appreciated, I am new ro connecting to oracle.

thanks
Paul

I spotted something in the help that implies that both client and server must be installed on the broker server... surely this isnt correct? anybody have a clue?

No, you don't need the server. Just the full client (NOT the instant client).

Have you setup tnsnames.ora? have you set the environment variable that points to tnsnames.ora (forget the name)?
