Hi,

I am willing to implement a failover protection mechanism with the help of multiple broker available to me. Basically the functionality should be similar to what failover protection is given by MQ Clustering. So is it possible to have a broker clustering environment where load balancing and failover protection is provided?

Collectives are only really useful if you're doing publish/subscribe.

Take a look at supportpac MC91 for information how to implement failover in WMB using something like HACMP. Additionally, if you're using WMB V7 read up on multi-instance brokers, as this provides a software based way of achieving an active/passive environment.
Also, if you're using MQ as a transport, then using MQ clustering, like you suggest, will already give you much of what you need.
