Hi,
I am trying to create a type tree from an XML Schema using XML Schema importer for type trees.
I have a restrictions on a couple of fields in the XSD, like, a particular field can accept only "INS,"UPD" or "DEL" as the valid values. My xsd does not specify this restriction using xsd:enumeration or xsd:pattern.
Can I generate the type tree out the xsd and then manually edit the type tree to add restrictions?
My requirement is that my map has to fail on invalid values.
I am new to WTX and any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes you can add restrictions in Type Tree... its quite easy to do also.
learn about Restrictions - Range in Type Tree..

Thanks for the immediate reply..
I have already tried adding restrictions to the item in the type tree generated out of XML schema. But when I use this modified type tree in the map as an input card, it does not fail the map on invalid input for the field for which I have specified restrictions. Instead, the command server gives me the message "Input type contains error". It generates the output for all the fields except for the field with restrictions and invalid input.
Am i missing some setting like Map Validation settings or something?
Help greatly appreciated! |
