Sir,
We want a HA solution in Websphere MQ7 using contact admin.
Can someone provide me with a good link (or) site which talks about implementing HA in MQ7 using contact admin.
I very much appreciate your reply as it helps us a lot..
Waiting eagerly for your replies... Thanks a lot.. |

Look at my tag-line and see if you can match that to somewhere else on this page - a further clue, concentrate on Info Center. Then search for Multi-Instance queue managers. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

The Info Center link at the top of the page still points at WMQ 6, which won't help this guy.
memphis, take a look at the Info Center for WMQ 7.0.1, here. _________________ Peter Potkay

Just a quick question. If just using contact admin for HA (ie no HACMP hardware), will the standby queue manager automatically get started without any manual steps ? |

Since we are in the stage of testing this feature out.. What I guess is that the standby queue manager will start if the active one fails, with a small delay.
experts - Please correct me on my statement.. Or else answer the above question..
Good question my friend.. |

Yes, provided the standby instance has been started - it's all in the manual (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmqv7/v7r0/topic/com.ibm.mq.amqzag.doc/fa70151_.htm) _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
