Hi !
This is regarding WMB v 6.1.0.4 and WMQ v 6.0.2.6
We are planning to upgrade MQ v 6.0.2.6 to WMQ v .7.0 . There is at Message broker v 6.1.0.4 on top off it
Is that straight forward or is there some Pub/Sub action that have to be done ? (that is not clear for me in the manual .. )

In MB V6.1, you need to choose whether to use MQ's or MB's pub/sub engine; if you are using Publication nodes, then you need to use MB's pub/sub engine. See: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v6r1m0/topic/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ae61505_.htm
(However, this doesn't apply in WMB V7, as the two engines have converged.)
You need to take additional steps if you are migrating an MB pubsub network (e.g. collectives) to MQ, as there are conceptual differences between the two implementations. |
