The classic scenario - management want to "visualise" the MQ network.
Hand-crafting Visio diagrams would take too long. I want to use a table in excel to enter the data (QM name, port, hostname etc) and then generate some shapes with the data already in.
I think this is only possible in Visio Professional, I have standard (2003).
Any other ideas or sample Visio diagrams I could look at? |

There's stuff you can do in Eclipse, with the right set of plugins. I've not looked in a while, but there should be network diagramming tools available, possibly for free.
I do not know of anything other than MQArchitect that can generate MQ diagrams from any kind of data source, though. |

for networking some free tools are out there, none take into account the use of MQ though.
A lot of work has gone into MQArchitect and the market is not that big so it will never be free...
