Try the readme that comes with the FixPack, and also the QB guide for the platform - they'll give you all you need.

It's no different to how you installed the original base of WMQ, but with a slight difference that there may be a requirement to uninstall one or more dependent modules first - but that's all in the readme.

Hey guys one more question ....for applying the fixpak do we use the rpm -uvh or rpm -ivh .....?????

I assume that rpm -Uvh is appropriate since it update the rpm package with the latest once right !

So should i go with rpm Uvh options or ivh .....install other set of rpm packages????

rpm -U will UPDATE packages if they are already there. If not then the specified packages will be installed.

rpm -i will only INSTALL things. If the package already exists then is will fail with an error stating that the package is already installed.

NOTE the CAPITALIZATION of the -U

I generally use rpm -Uvh when installing WMQ rpm's. Pretty well the ONLY Time I explicitly use rpm -ivh is when I'm installing a new Linux Kernel andits dependencies.
