Hi All,

I have a Java application which PUTS/GETS from MQ.
My MQ.get() on the queue is with a wait option and if my java application is getting killed the IPPROCS remains in the queue as '1' for some time and after sometime it comes down to '0'.

But in b/w with the IPPROCS as '1'(stale IPPROCS from the previous process) if I try to put a message into the queue the message is consumed and lost and then the IPPROCS resets to '0'

Could anyone please explain me how does the stale IPPROCS consume the message and where exactly it consumes it to...?

Thanks in advance
Balu

To avoid this, use syncpoint. You only see message loss like this when choosing NOT to use syncpoints.
