What would be the point? It's expired for a reason, so what is your requirement, or rationale, for 'recovering' that message? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Expired is an MQ term that denotes that the expiry value (set by the application) in the MQMD has elapsed for this message. By definition, expired messages cannot be consumed by any MQGETting application, and will be purged by a qmgr function.
Invalid is not an MQ term. Invalid is an application-level term that denotes that this message does not meet business logic for whatever reason.
As noted, once a message expires, it cannot be recovered _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
