Hi Guys,
I was just reading around to find if anyone has done a migration from v6 to v7, if any would like to know their suggestions, as with v7 you dont need a configmgr and brokerdb, so was wondering if the mqsimigratecomponents would still work.
do let me know ur views.
Regards |

The mqsimigratecomponents command allows you migrate a broker to v7, and does everything you need, including copying any information out of your system database.
However, if you need to roll back, you can only roll back to the broker's pre-migration state- that's because it won't repopulate the system database with any subsequent configuration changes.
You can't use the command against a ConfigMgr; once you've migrated to v7, you simply don't use the ConfigMgr component any more. |
