Hi Friends,
I am planning to complete MQ v6.0 Certification by this month end but I would like to know whether MQ v6.0 certification is any plan to retire. Shall I go with this version ?
Please let me know this info.
Thanks in advance. |

The certification will be valid for as long as WMQv6 is in support, and after that demonstrates a level of knowledge with a version of WMQ even if not the current version. As to how long the v6 certifications will be offered, the IBM web site is the only authoritative source of information.

That would be one of those decision things that sometimes you have to make. I never offer career advice for reasons obvious to those people who are familiar with my career..... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The MQ V7.0 certification exams will obviously test the new stuff in that version, in addition to stuff that could be in the V6.0 exam. If you are not familiar with V7.0 it might be better to go for V6.0. _________________ Glenn |

I would have suggested that this is the right time to become familiar with v7, and take the v7 test. Take one test; save a few $. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
