How do I install the Saveqmgr Supportpac MS03 on a Tandem NSK machine? Simple steps please!
I have unzippedthe MS03 file, and have the makefile.nsk on my PC. Do I ftp this to the Tandem, then run the C compiler against it, or is more required than that? If I do do this, does it get compiled in the OSS environment or the Guardian environment?

You actually want to use the makefile.hpnss, not the .nsk. It's more current.
But the makefile itself is insufficient. You need to put the whole package on the NSK system and work with it there.
Given that the makefile says "systype=guardian" that should answer that question.
You need to have a C compiler, too. |

| Thanks for that. I downloaded the makefile.hpnss file, but when I try to 'make' it it says that the file '/usr/lib/cfe' is missing. Would there be anywhere I could get a compiled version from for Tandem, or a copy of the 'cfe' library file? |

Also, I am informed that I managed, again, to ship the wrong makefile.hpnss, so it's not quite right. I'll send you the correct one in email. |

Hi Jeff,
I am having a problem with the compiled SAVEQMGR on TANDEM NSK which could be related to this. I downloaded the latest vesion of MAKEFILE.HPNSS and compiled it on the OSS. When I try to use it against a QMGR I see the following error:
*** RLD ERROR ***: Unresolved Text Symbol ProcessArgs in file /wload/supp/home/m
qm/tmp/saveqmgr.
/bin/-sh: ./saveqmgr: tdm_execve(): failed with unexpected error
pr_errno=(4022) pr_TPCerror=(74) pr_TPCdetail=(0)
Am In fact using the latest version of the makefile or has a more recent version been written. Thanks in advance. |

There is maybe a newer release.
There's certainly a different makefile, I keep managing to ship slightly the wrong one.
